The mission of the PRC is to provide resources, programs, and services to improve the quality of life and physical well-being of individuals living with Parkinson’s disease.
The Parkinson’s community is currently underserved by health, education, fitness and exercise programs that address the specialized needs of people living with PD. The PRC develops and delivers a range of exercise and educational programs to meet the physical and social needs of people living with Parkinson’s in the GTA.
Our flagship program, Rock Steady Boxing Toronto, as well as our Nutrition and Cooking classes, educational workshops, and other programs and services are developed in response to needs identified by the Parkinson’s community. Providing opportunities for self-management and self-empowerment helps individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s address their symptoms and regain some hope and control over a chronic and degenerative condition.
